Join Us- YRCC Membership

We are currently accepting some new members in all sections. 

NEW MEMBERS can come and try us out on September 16th, 2025.

We always keep a spot available for a new bass clef singers (male voices).

Bass clef singers, please come to a rehearsal to check us out.  Kindly let Carol know when you're planning to come.   

Membership dues will only be collected in person after you've attended a rehearsal to see if you like the choir. If you feel like we're a good fit for you, then you can pay Carol at rehearsal. If you want to pay by cheque, make it out to "York Region Community Choir". Dues are collected at the beginning of each season. In September, you can pay for the whole year, September to June ($100). You can pay by cash, cheque, or credit card (Square). 

You will receive your binder of the season's music once you have paid your membership dues. This binder and all the music in it must be returned at the end of each season. You will get your binder back with the next season's music at the beginning of the next season. 

You will receive a red tie or scarf before your first performance with the YRCC. You will keep this tie or scarf to wear every time you perform with the YRCC, and you will keep it if and when you leave the choir. 

YRCC members are asked to meet once a year for our Annual General Meeting, where decisions are made and the board is elected or re-elected. The AGM is always followed by a pot-luck party.
